Board of Directors
Board members Needed – Term of 2 years. Great Tree’s Board of Directors needs has spaces open for volunteers (Fall 2011).
Board Members meet throughout the year with breaks in December & August, and participate in strategic planning and in advisory capacity to the Abbess.
Elected annually, you may serve up to six consecutive years. One of the ten meetings is reserved for training in compassionate communication as a board retreat.
Some committee time, mostly by email and phone makes up a total of 80 hours per year. Contact us by phone or email if you would like to become part building a foundation for Great Tree’s future!
About the Board
Meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, in the evening. Board is ratified by the Membership in September of each year. Generally we meet at Great Tree, but may also meet in Asheville.
Other board events are Board led Work Days on the building and grounds or administrative projects vital to the temple operations and development.
