Wrapped in a blanket of noble silence, surrounded by the beauty of Great Tree, we will enjoy sitting, indoor and outdoor walking meditation, mindful movement, a dharma talk and total relaxation.  Each participant will have the pleasure of creating an arrangement of found natural materials and flowers guided by an introduction to the spiritual practice of Ikebana.

Peggy Rowe Ward, Dharma teacher visiting from Claremont, California is the founder, with her husband Larry Ward, of Bright Path Sangha and the Lotus Institute. They co-authored Love’s Garden. Peggy was ordained by Zen Master, Thich Nhat Hahn in 1994 and received teacher transmission in 2001.

Norma Bradley, Asheville, NC is an artist, educator and Buddhist practitioner. She was ordained by Zen Master, Thich Nhat Hahn in 2009. Norma has been practicing Ikebana for more than eight years and has been arranging flowers since childhood. Her Earth Quilt Gardens have been created at schools, hospitals and rehabilitations centers.
