Temple Residents

Temple residents are women who make a commitment to live, practice and teach at Great Tree Zen Temple, in keeping with Soto Zen Practice, follow the schedule of  practice.

Temple residents will assume appropriate roles in the Great Tree operations and fulfill ongoing commitment to practice and service at  Great Tree on an annual basis

Great Tree will support them in continuing their education and deepening their practice toward assuming leadership roles for Great Tree in teaching, study, administration, or outreach.

Currently, Great Tree has  one new Temple Resident  beginning in the winter of 2011, Chimyo Atkinson.
